2016 was the first year InStyle had submitted our own design to be a part of the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS), entering into the Boutique Gardens competition.

This competition is sponsored by Landscaping Victoria and Warners Nursery, and is open to any individual or business who are a member of any of the state based landscaping associations (such as Landscaping VIctoria), a member of The Australian Institute of Landscape Designers and Managers (AILDM), Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) or students in the final year of studying landscape design or architecture.

Entrants submit a design, which are then shortlisted to five, which are built for the garden show to then be judged, and Instyle was one of the five finalists, eventually coming away with third place!

It was an amazing experience and certainly a lot different to building a students garden such as previous years.
